Robotics meets System Intelligence

Together with Terra Robotics, we are integrating robotics into our intelligent, automated warehouse systems.

Robotics from a single source

Think in terms of processes – act with systems. Those who take robotics seriously view it as an integral part of processes. Together with Terra Robotics, we are developing a holistic robotics ecosystem for industrial intralogistics – specialized robotics including software, service, and integration. At the heart of this ecosystem is an interplay .

A networked ecosystem in which the expertise of Terra Robotics and the Westfalia Group complement each other – from software and service to the complete integration of automated warehouse solutions. Robotics from a single source. As part of a functioning system.

Full Service Solution Partner

Financing options through WORTMANN AG for your robotics solutions

Data protection and backups within a defined cloud infrastructure in the Terra Cloud, featuring highly secure data centers in Germany

Software and WMS integration, material flow control, data logic, system transparency, and management of software updates within the Terra Westfalia Group

Service and support provided by, among others, the decentralized Westfalia service network

System management, overall integration, PLC integration, and integration into the warehouse architecture

Data sovereignty in Germany

The robots we use are based on industrial platforms from leading international manufacturers. We handle all aspects of system integration, control, software architecture, and data management here in Germany, hosted on German servers - the Terra Cloud. The robots do not act as the primary system controllers; rather, they are integrated into a closed system architecture that we provide.

Automation and Robotics

By industry standards, robots are freely programmable and capable of moving freely to perform various tasks. Therefore, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) and fixed conveyor systems fall under the category of automation. The line between automation and robotics is blurred. Our automation technologies use PLC control, intelligent algorithms, sensor technology, and camera systems similar to those of autonomous robots, enabling autonomous processes..

Automated conveying and storage systems work perfectly in conjunction with robotics, such as Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), collaborative robots (cobots), piece-picking robots, or articulated-arm palletizers. Together with Terra Robotics, we are taking it one step further and, in addition to AMRs, also offer “robot dogs” (quadrupeds) and humanoid robots for use in industrial environments. These are used, for example, for warehouse cleaning, maintenance work, or logistics tasks.
